The Kyoto Modern Architecture Festival, a project to open all existing modern architecture in Kyoto to the public for three days from November 11 (Fri.) to 13 (Sun.), 2022, will be held for the first time!
During the exhibition period, visitors will be able to freely visit any number of the modern architectural structures with a single passport. The facilities include the Old Main Building of the Kyoto Prefectural Government Office, which is said to be Japan's oldest government building still in its original form, and Kyoto Harist Church, with its impressive cathedral, as well as restaurants and hotels that offer a sense of luxury, such as To Hua Cuisine (formerly Restaurant Yaomasa), known for the oldest elevator in Japan, Ace Hotel Kyoto (formerly Kyoto Central Telephone Station), and others.
