Seishodo Yamashita THE ROOM, opened as an annex by Seishodo Yamashita, which has been in the business of new and ancient tea utensils for 170 years since its founding in Kyoto in 1847, features artist Shinya Kushino. An exhibition by is being held until Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Mr. Kushino has also held many successful exhibitions as a shoe designer. Skillfully incorporating tradition and technology, this time he has elevated shoes into a piece of sculpture that questions human history, human history, and our views on life and death.

The store has also started as a project space to support art education for elementary school students.

It hides quietly in the cracks between the walls, and when something triggers that memory, it speaks to you only when needed."
