An exhibition featuring approximately 200 original drawings by manga artist Taniguchi Jiro will be held at the Kyoto International Manga Museum in Karasuma-Oike, Kyoto, from June 2 (Thursday) to August 29 (Monday), 2022.

Taniguchi spins profound stories, sometimes lyrically, sometimes humorously, with his meticulous drawing and composition, including "Solo no Gourmet," which has also been made into a TV drama. His skill and authorship, which leave a deep impression on readers, are highly acclaimed around the world.
The exhibition will feature a section that explains how to view original paintings using actual works as examples. By actually viewing the original works, visitors will be able to realize that beautiful images are created by detailed pen drawings and screen tones applied and scraped off. Enjoy the many discoveries that can only be made by viewing the originals.
