Reikanji Temple in Kitashirakawa (Shikagaya, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto), known as the "Temple of Camellia," will hold a "Spring Special Open House" from March 19 (Sat) to April 10 (Sun), 2022.

The large garden is home to more than 100 varieties of famous camellias, including the Nikko camellia (designated as a natural treasure by the city of Kyoto), scattered camellia, white peony camellia, and Maizuru camellia, which can be freely walked around.
Also, be sure to check out the Reikanji original red seal booklets and red seals decorated with camellias, which can only be purchased during the open period. Take this opportunity to visit the beautiful garden in spring when camellias are in full bloom.
