On January 1, 2023 (Sunday, national holiday), "Kyoto Tower New Year's Day Hatsubori 2023" will be held exclusively for those who purchase advance tickets to view the first sunrise from the Kyoto Tower observation deck 100 meters above ground.
In addition to the first sunrise, visitors can enjoy praying at the "Tawawa-chan Shrine" located in the observation deck, as well as "Tawawa-chan ema" in the shape of the face of Tawawa-chan, the mascot character of Kyoto Tower, and "tawamikuji," a lottery.
