Lighting up the Watarigatsu Bridge
The "Togetsu Bridge Lighting" is the symbol of the Arashiyama Hanatouro. The Wataratsukibashi Bridge over the Katsura River, the foothills of Arashiyama to the west, and the surrounding waterfront are lit up to create a magnificent and beautiful nighttime natural scene. The reflection of the Wataratsukibashi Bridge on the shiny surface of the water, with the fantastically floating mountains in the background, is a unique nighttime sight to behold.

Lighting up the path through the bamboo grove
Another symbol of Arashiyama Hanatouro, "Lighting up the Bamboo Grove Lane" beautifully illuminates the path from Nomiya Shrine to Okochi Sanso Teien. Walking through the middle of the bamboo grove, which grows from both sides, is like walking through a golden arch. The festival was canceled last year, but will be lit up this year.

Lights and Flowers Road
The "Lantern and Flower Path" takes advantage of the natural landscape of the Saga/Arashiyama area, including the waterfront and bamboo forests, as well as the historical and cultural heritage of the area, and is decorated with countless open-air lanterns and voluminous ikebana works of flowers. The gentle light of the open-air paper lanterns is beautifully shaded with a rich Japanese atmosphere, and a warmly lit walkway stretches throughout the area.

The Kyoto Ikebana Promenade, with the cooperation of the Kyoto Ikebana Association, will display a variety of voluminous ikebana works along the "Path of Lights and Flowers". The first half of the exhibition and the second half of the exhibition will be replaced, and each of the unique ikebana works will colorfully decorate the walking path.

Ogura Pond Light-up
Ogura Pond at the foot of Mt. Ogura, famous for the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu (100 Poems of Ogura), will be illuminated on the way from Okochi Sanso Teien to Jojakkoji Temple, passing through a bamboo grove path. The reflection of the faintly illuminated trees on the surface of the water amidst the silence of the mountains is quite magical.

Ryotaro Muramatsu, an artist and representative of the creative company NAKED, INC., will create "DANDELION," a participatory artwork that connects with the world, and "Arashiyama Sky Lantern," a participatory event in which sky lanterns will be flown simultaneously into the night sky at Arashiyama Nakanoshima Park. The "Arashiyama Sky Lantern" event will be held in Arashiyama Nakanoshima Park.

Sky Lanterns" are small hot air balloons used at festivals in Thailand and Taiwan.
