The Kyoto Aquarium is currently holding "November 11 is Chinago Day 2021," a special event to commemorate "Chinago Day" on November 11 through November 30 (Tuesday).
In addition to introducing the ecology and trivia of the Chinese and western pond snails with explanatory videos, this year's event will feature a limited number of oversized loaves of bread made in the motif of their long bodies, as well as "Nyokitto," which reproduces their bodies emerging from the sand! Chinago & Nishikianago Parfait," which is a reproduction of a chin sea eel emerging from the sand, and other products based on the theme of chin sea eels.
