This year marks the 10th anniversary of the "Kyoto International Film Festival 2023 - Movies, Art and Everything Else"! This year's festival will be held from October 13 (Fri.) to 15 (Sun.), 2023 (excluding preceding events) at venues in Kyoto, including Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu, Hulic Hall Kyoto, and Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art.

Since 2014, the Kyoto International Film Festival has been actively engaged in "new things" under the theme of "Film, Art, and Everything Else", while respecting the traditions and aspirations inherited from the Kyoto International Film Festival. The festival has been held as a hybrid film festival that combines the advantages of both online and in real life.

This year, a memorial screening will be held for director Sadao Nakajima, who served as honorary chairman of the festival's executive committee, and Yuko Natori will appear as a guest speaker; on Saturday, October 14, "Yoshimoto SDGs LIVE 2023" will be held to deepen understanding of the SDGs while having fun; and in the art category, there will be an installation exhibition by Tomoko Sawada at the Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art, and KAORUKO and Kishimoto Mai at the Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu In the art section, there will be an installation exhibition by Tomoko Sawada at the Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art, and KAORUKO and Mai Kishimoto at the Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu Theater.
