A special early morning opening to enjoy lotus blossoms will be held from July 8, 2023 (Sat.) at Hokkeumgo-in Temple, a well-known lotus viewing spot.
In the Pure Land style garden, which is designated as a special national scenic beauty spot, lotuses of four colors (blue, yellow, red, and white) are collected to imitate the Pure Land of Paradise, and in summer, about 90 kinds of lotuses bloom in great profusion in the precincts of the temple. The lotus blooms early in the morning and the best time to see them is over in the afternoon. Visitors are encouraged to get up early and take their time to enjoy the most beautiful flowers of the day.
