Lined up in the showcase are a number of delicately made French sweets that look beautiful. Mr. Ken Murata, the chef pastry chef, creates all the sweets, including fresh sweets and baked sweets. After studying at [Robuchon] and hotels in France, he opened his own restaurant in Kyoto.
“I try to keep the taste simple and classic,” says Murata. Instead of pursuing novel and new tastes, we are conscious of the taste that we have eaten before, and express our respect for French sweets that have been passed down until now. It's best to come early as they have a wide variety of items.
