Selected Umeshu Festival in Kyoto 2024" will be held from November 21 (Thu.) to 24 (Sun.), 2024 [at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine].
In addition to comparing and purchasing more than 100 varieties of plum wine from all over Japan and plum wine that won gold, silver, and bronze at the "National Umeshu Brewers' Association 2024," visitors can enjoy paid tastings and lottery sales of rare Otters' plum wine, sales of new drinks, and a menu featuring a collaboration of Kyoto's food culture and plum wine.
Also, on the 23rd (Sat.) and 24th (Sun.), the "Kyokubeshu Festival" will be held at the Kitano-Tenmangu Shrine Fugetsuden, which is usually closed to visitors, where you can enjoy plum wine and food while viewing the garden. This is also recommended for those who want to master the Umeshu Festival. (*A separate ticket is required).
Each ticket includes admission to the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine Maple Garden (*no tea cakes), so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of autumn leaves while tasting ume (plum) wine.
