From October 4 (Fri.) to 6 (Sun.), 19 (Sat.) and 20 (Sun.), 2024 [Toji Temple] (Minami-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) will hold a special viewing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its UNESCO World Heritage registration.
To mark the anniversary, a World Heritage collaboration with the "Toji Yuri Documents," a Memory of the World Heritage, is planned. Visitors can enjoy matcha green tea and listen to a commentary on the "Toji Yuri Documents" in the Kyakuden, which is normally closed to the public, and the temple will also be illuminated at night. Take this opportunity to experience the history and charm of Toji Temple, a cultural asset of Kyoto.
