Mitsuaki Iwago Photo Exhibition: Local Cats" will be held from October 12 (Sat) to November 17 (Sun), 2024, at the "Museum of Art 'Eki' KYOTO" attached to the JR Kyoto Station Building.
Mr. Iwago, who has been taking pictures for NHK's popular program "Mitsuaki Iwago's World Cat Walk" for many years, decided to make an effort to take pictures of Japanese cats during the three years he was out of Japan due to the Corona disaster. The exhibition features "local cats" that he has photographed in his travels throughout Japan's 47 prefectures. The exhibition features approximately 140 photographs capturing the rich expressions, gestures, and energy of the cats living in the unique climates of each prefecture. In addition, the latest photo books, limited-edition goods, and autograph sessions will be held, so take this opportunity to go on a journey to meet cats from all over Japan.
