The teahouse of Ito Kyuemon (Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture), which has a store in such a location, has a waiting time that can be three to four hours. The hydrangea parfait, now in its 12th year, is the most popular seasonal parfait and is made with matcha hydrangea kinton, hydrangea-colored crushed jelly, leaf-shaped matcha cookies, blueberries, and other ingredients to resemble hydrangeas wet with dew from the rain.
