Kyoto Tanranmen Kinshirou (Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) is located on the corner of Sakai-cho Isigawa River, south of Kyoto Gyoen Garden. The owner, who served as general manager of a popular Chinese restaurant in Nagoya, has now opened a restaurant specializing in tanranmen.
There are two types of noodles on standby: the soup-less dish, in which you can enjoy thick, chewy noodles that are almost like pasta, and the soupy dish, in which you can enjoy a thick broth. You can customize not only the hardness of the noodles and toppings, but also the amount of hot oil and pepper. The final dish is freshly cooked rice from Gihee VIII, which is the Kinshi-Ro way of savoring all the soup has to offer. Although only counter seating is available, it is a pleasure to spend time in the open restaurant with light streaming in through the high windows, so that even a woman alone can feel free to spend time here.
Often there is a waiting line at lunch time for the taste that makes you want to eat again and again. It is open only for three hours during lunchtime! Why not pay a visit to this already popular and noteworthy restaurant?
