The most popular item at the second Verdi store, Verdi Kyoto Art University, which opened in 2016, is the salted nut tart, made with carefully selected ingredients and a delicate recipe. The almonds and walnuts are carefully selected from Afghanistan, where they have a fruity aroma. To add depth of flavor, almond pudding and hazelnut powder were added. The combination of exquisite sweetness, saltiness, and nutty flavor makes for a deeply flavorful dish. The size is small, at 10 cm in diameter, but satisfying enough. Although it was originally created for coffee, it is a much talked-about adult sweet that also goes well with Western liquor and wine.
