Kyoto Benrido (Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), a long-established company known for art printing and reproduction of cultural properties, has collaborated with Kyoto-based artist tupera tupera on a new product called "Kyoto Han," which will go on sale in Kyoto City on Friday, April 18.
Kyoto-han" is a combination of the word "han" (an honorific title in the Kyoto dialect) and the word "plate" (a printing process), and consists of a total of 20 types of cards featuring the charms of Kyoto in unique characters. The cards are carefully printed using color collotype, a traditional technique inherited by the company, and are attracting attention as a new standard of Kyoto souvenirs that can be given, used, and displayed. Each card is sold at a total of 20 stores in Kyoto, so you can enjoy searching for your favorite one while strolling around Kyoto.
