Keifuku Electric Railway connects Shijo-Omiya in Kyoto City with Arashiyama and Kitano Shiraume-cho. On Friday, February 28, 2025, Keifuku Electric Railway's new "KYOTRAM" train, known locally as "Randen," began operation. An unveiling ceremony was held at Arashiyama Station, and when the purple car arrived at the station shortly after 10:30 a.m., the people on the platform gave a loud round of applause.
