Roasted tea 730 yen
March 3, 2025 open
On the second floor of the hotel [MOKU KYOTO], located a short walk from Hankyu Karasuma Station, a café [TEA LOUNGE ISOLA] focusing on tea will open on March 3 (Mon.), 2025.
Since the hotel's design theme is tea, this store was established as a space where visitors can enjoy tea in a relaxed atmosphere. The main tea products are carefully selected from all over Japan, including Uji tea from Kyoto, a famous tea-producing region, as well as Kagoshima and Kochi tea from other parts of Japan. There is a wide range of ways to enjoy the teas, including a menu where customers can roast their favorite tea leaves themselves and enjoy them with a glass of wine, as well as a menu of high-end Japanese teas recommended by a French sommelier.
In addition to lunch, which allows customers to grill their own rice balls over charcoal and enjoy them with colorful obanzai, the restaurant also has sweets and alcohol on standby, making it an attractive choice for a variety of occasions.
16 kinds of colorful dishes, tea set 3,000 yen
The store was designed based on the concept of "living low" in reference to the traditional Japanese tatami mat culture, which is rooted in the custom of living low. During the Gion Festival season, the restaurant is a prime location from which visitors can enjoy a close-up view of the Yamahoko floats from the windows.
Enjoy the aroma of various teas in your own way to relax and prepare your mind.
