A café and boutique by "agnès b.", a popular brand from Paris, France, located in Hanamikoji, Gion. The interior of the store, a machiya (townhouse) that is typical of stores located in Gion, is a perfect fusion of French and Japanese culture. Visitors can enjoy not only the café, exhibitions, and sales, but also the space itself, including artwork that changes with the seasons.

The first floor is a café, with original items lined up at the entrance, which can be enjoyed just by looking at them. The store on the second floor features a selection of iconic "agnès b." products, including many vintage items that are exclusive to this store.

At the café, original cups and saucers collaborated by "1616 / arita japan" and "agnès b.", for which designer Teruhiro Yanagihara serves as creative director, are on display and for sale. On the inside of the cups and saucers are handwritten messages by agnès b. himself, and it is fun to choose your favorite motif or message.

Three morning options are offered: the Waffle Special Plate, Croque Monsieur Set, and French Toast. The popular Waffle Special Plate is an almond and rye waffle with a hint of orange peel, served with caramelized and roasted bacon, fresh vegetables, and scrambled eggs. This café is under the direct management of HARIO, which has been manufacturing and selling a wide range of coffee utensils since its establishment in 1921. The store, which was renovated from an old Kyoto townhouse, has an elaborately designed interior and a tsuboniwa garden with lanterns that evoke a deep sense of atmosphere.

［HARIO's stylish equipment can be used to brew two types of coffee: drip and siphon. Siphon coffee, which is brewed at a high temperature using steam pressure, is aromatic and mild. The staff will explain the coffee to you so you can find the one you like best. Enjoy an elegant coffee break while gazing at the tsuboniwa garden.

In addition to a wide variety of HARIO products, such as a dripper with a design of birds and animals caricatures, the store also sells beautiful glass accessories from the HARIO Lampwork Factory, which are made by artisans and make great gifts.

Ron Herman, which was founded in California in 1976, has created a café with a sense of openness that recreates the atmosphere of the West Coast. The Kyoto branch is adjacent to the "Ron Herman" store, allowing customers to enjoy the entire stylish and sophisticated space.

The restaurant is spacious, with tables and comfortable sofa seating, allowing customers with children to spend a relaxing time. The menu offers a variety of seasonal dishes, including main dishes made with fresh seasonal ingredients, hearty salads, colorful drinks and sweets, and coffee for a relaxing break to recharge the body and soul.

We recommend the standard burger. The patty is made from 100% grass-fed beef, without using any glue to bring out the juicy flavor of the meat. Sliced tomatoes and fresh lettuce are served with an American relish called "chow chow" for added acidity. Enjoy it with mild-tasting cheddar cheese.

Ralph's Coffee, operated by the apparel brand Ralph Lauren, is located in Kyoto BAL. The floor of the eye-catching green and white store is made of ceramic tiles with colorful geometric patterns. At the entrance, a Polo Bear, a well-known Ralph Lauren item, greets customers. The showcases are lined with American-sized cakes and cookies, and together with the interior design, you will feel as if you are in a café in New York, the home of RALPH LAUREN.

Original goods such as mugs and tote bags with the Ralph's Coffee logo are also available at the store.

Afternoon tea can only be enjoyed here in Kyoto. Enjoy American-style sweets and savories with beverages in the afternoon tea room, Leah Hall, and enjoy a moment of elegance. Reservations are required by 4:00 p.m. the day before the desired date.

Ralph's Brownie is a recreation of a secret recipe handed down in the family home of Ralph Lauren's wife, Ricky Lauren. The brownie is optionally warmed and topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce for +385 yen.

Kitsuné Sablé is also popular, with many photos of drinks served with sablé uploaded on social networking sites. The Kitsuné Sablé is also popular. Be sure to check out the Hojicha Latte 900 yen (new price starting December 1, 2024), which is only available at the Kyoto store and is decorated with a stencil of a fox. Takeout is also available.
