Murinan, located in the Okazaki area of Kyoto, was built between 1894 and 1896 by Aritomo Yamagata, a politician of the Meiji and Taisho eras, and consists of a garden, main building, Western-style house, and tea ceremony room. The garden, which was created by Jihei Ogawa VII based on the instructions of Aritomo Yamagata, the owner of the villa, is renowned as a masterpiece of modern Japanese gardens. Enjoy a special moment while admiring the beautiful autumn leaves and the view of the Higashiyama mountains, which were painstakingly maintained by Kyoto craftsmen.
