Convenience store LAWSON has launched the "Machi Gourmet Series" focusing on the "hometowns" of the Kinki region. The first series, "Kyoto version," will begin on September 3, 2024 (Tuesday) with a total of six products, including products supervised by popular local restaurants.
The lineup includes products supervised by Kyoto's street Chinese restaurant Houmairou, Kitchen Gon Kyoto Rokkaku Honten, the Western-style restaurant that originated pinellai rice, and Kyoto Gion Anon, which offers Japanese and Western sweets made with anko (red bean paste), as well as products inspired by local flavors such as Chirimen Sansho rice balls, Kyoto cafe-style egg roll sandwiches, and New Bird. If you find one at a store near you, pick it up!
