Kyoto Railway Museum
With the theme of "See, touch, and experience," this is one of the largest railroad museums in Japan, housing and exhibiting 54 railcars from steam locomotives to bullet trains. The museum is a facility that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, including a ride on the "SL Steam" steam locomotive pulling a passenger train, one of the largest railroad dioramas in Japan, and a work experience on an operation simulator. The museum has a kid's park for children, where visitors can watch trains in operation from the windows.

Kyoto Aquarium / Kyoto Aquarium
This large-scale inland aquarium is located in Umekoji Park, not far from Kyoto Station. The aquarium exhibits 15,000 living creatures of about 250 species in 10 areas, including the "Kyoto River" area, which displays giant salamanders, and the "Kyoto Sea" tank, which reproduces the sea of Kyoto. In "Jellyfish Wonder," 5,000 jellyfish of about 30 species are displayed in various tanks according to their ecology, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of jellyfish.

Nidec Kyoto Tower / Nidec Kyoto Tower
Nidec Kyoto Tower is located in front of Kyoto Station and is a symbol of Kyoto. Inside the tower is an observation deck from which visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Kyoto, and the Kyoto Tower Sand, a commercial facility inside the Kyoto Tower Building, offers souvenir stores, restaurants, and workshops on traditional crafts. The limited-time-only barbecue facility on the 10th floor offers a powerful view of the tower from directly below. [A special ticket package that includes admission to Nidec Kyoto Tower, Kyoto Aquarium, Kyoto Railway Museum, and Toei Kyoto Movie Village is also available. This is a museum in the Kyoto Central Market where visitors can enjoy learning about Kyoto's food culture under the theme of "See, Create, Taste. Samples of Kyoto vegetables, pickles, and Kyoto cuisine are on display to give visitors a taste of Kyoto's culinary culture. Kyoto Central Market Fisheries Building Tour Area / Kyoto City Central Market Fisheries Building Tour Area
The Fisheries Building Tour Area opened in the Kyoto Central Market in 2023. Visitors can observe the auction (which starts around 5:00 a.m.), watch a "time travel theater" that shows images of the market's history on a large screen, learn about the work of market professionals, and view an exhibit that introduces the daily activities of the market, among many other things. Other attractions such as the "Tuna Photo Spot" and "Touch de Quiz" are designed for children to enjoy, allowing them to learn about the roles and functions of the market that support Kyoto's food culture while having fun.

Kyoto Suzaku Sushi Market
[Located right in front of the Kyoto Central Market, this restaurant offers sushi using the freshest fish. Although it is a full-fledged sushi restaurant, the casual atmosphere makes it easy to enter with children. This is a hands-on facility where visitors can learn about disaster prevention through simulated experiences such as earthquakes and strong winds. This is a facility where everyone from infants to adults can enjoy learning about science and science through hands-on exhibits and events. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, events such as "Science Live," in which demonstrations and experiments are performed, and the planetarium provides easy-to-understand explanations using the Science Center's original programs. 4.Recommended for kick bike debut! Large park where you can learn traffic rules / Murasaki area

Omiya Traffic Park/Omiya Highway Public Park
It is the only traffic park in Kyoto City with a mock road, where visitors can learn traffic rules while practicing actual bicycle riding. There is also playground equipment for children who are not old enough to ride bicycles. The park has a cycle store, take-out cafe, indoor rental space, and lots of greenery. Events for parents and children and kick bike and bicycle classes are held regularly, so be sure to check them out. A fire station is adjacent to the park, so it is interesting to watch fire trucks and training scenes from above.

Sarasa Nishijin / Sarasanishijin
Sarasa Nishijin is a café renovated from the former Fujinomori Onsen, which closed down in 1998. It is interesting to look for remnants of the bathhouse in the brightly colored majolica tiles, the wall between the men's and women's baths, and the coffered ceiling. The cafe offers hearty food made from locally grown vegetables, a variety of sweets using seasonal fruits, and weekly lunch specials.

Kyoto Botanical Garden
The Kyoto Botanical Garden opened in 1924 as Japan's first public botanical garden. The garden is home to approximately 12,000 species of plants and exhibits that offer something new and fascinating every time you visit. In particular, one of the largest greenhouses in Japan, with 4,500 varieties of tropical plants and other exhibits, is a must-see. Visitors can view plants that are being exhibited for the first time in Japan or are in bloom for the first time. The playground area just inside the main gate is very popular with children. Nearby is the Mushroom Library, to which Bill Gates donated five books, where families can spend a relaxing time under the shade of the trees listening to the rustling of the trees.
