From April 28 (Sun.) to May 6 (Mon.), 2024, a special plan is available for a limited number of couples to rent a special room on the second floor of the main building of Murinan, which is usually closed to the public!
Murinan, located in the Okazaki area of Kyoto, was built between 1894 and 1896 by Aritomo Yamagata, a politician of the Meiji and Taisho eras, and consists of a garden, main building, Western-style house, and tea ceremony room. The garden, which was created by Jihei Ogawa VII based on the instructions of Aritomo Yamagata, the owner of the villa, is renowned as a masterpiece of modern Japanese gardens.
