The long-awaited "Matcha mini-baamu 1-bake experience" will begin on April 12, 2024 (Fri.) at one of Kyoto's largest confectionery museums [atelier Kyo-baamu] (Minami-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture).
In this program, visitors can experience authentic baking of round baumkuchen, which is difficult to make at home, in a special oven! You can learn how to bake delicious baked goods from Kyo-Baamu's artisans. The recipe for the experience is a newly developed one, specially designed to be pleasant to the palate when taken home and eaten. The dough is made with Uji green tea produced by Morihan, the same company that makes Kyo-ba-amu.
[After learning about the craftsmen's work at the exhibition on the second floor of atelier Kyo-Baamu or in the factory tour area, participating in the hands-on program will give you a better understanding and enjoyment of baumkuchen baking.
