The "Kyoto x Fukui Mishoku Kunitachi Premium Kyoto Kaiseki" event will be held in Fukui Prefecture on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 only, bringing together the masters of Kyoto's famous ryotei restaurants to perform together. Mishoku-kuni refers to the court food supply region of ancient Japan, including Fukui Prefecture, and this event is a modern interpretation of the food connection between Fukui and Kyoto.
The venue is ESHIKOTO, a sake brewery tourist facility by Fukui Prefecture's Kuroryu Sake Brewery, which is popular around the world. The "Garyu Building," which is closed to the public and used as a special venue, has an 11-meter-high peaked ceiling and was designed by British architect Simon Conder.
