ARToVILLA MARKET Vol.2", which opens the door to art by each individual, will be held in Kyoto from October 27 (Fri.)!
From October 27 (Fri.) to 30 (Mon.), 2023, "ARToVILLA MARKET Vol. 2", an exhibition and sales event by "ARToVILLA", a web media specialized in contemporary art, will be held at FabCafe Kyoto, a creative community cafe located near Gojo Kawaramachi. The venue, FabCafe Kyoto, was renovated by architect Fumihiko Sano eight years ago, and this time, under the theme of "Paradoxical Landscape," a space where truth and falsehood are intermingled will be constructed.
The theme of this year's exhibition is "Paradoxical Landscape. Today, the world through displays is filled with meta-verse and AI-generated images, which are overlapped by manga, games, and anime, and the landscape surrounding us has become murky.
This exhibition focuses on artists who live in a time when the urban landscape is changing daily and the space between reality and fiction is dissolving. Selected by curator Junya Yamamine, the works of seven artists traverse a variety of contemporary visual environments, including digital, materiality, animation, and subcultures.
In addition, special drinks related to the "Paradoxical Landscape" theme will be available only on the 28th (Sat.) and 29th (Sun.).
