
The Kyoto Municipal Industrial Technology Research Institute, which fosters and supports the technical successors of Kyoto's traditional industries, will hold "Lacquer Lab.: Sensitivity and Science Connect Manufacturing" at the Museum of Kyoto Traditional Industries from October 28 (Saturday) to November 8 (Wednesday), 2023.
[The exhibition introduces the works created by six young lacquer craftsmen and artists from the "Kyoto Lacquerware Bearers Platform" operated by the Kyoto Municipal Industrial Technology Research Institute, who have demonstrated their individual sensibilities, and the diverse world of lacquer that lies behind them. The museum store and online store will also sell a number of works, including those by the craftsmen and artists in this exhibition, for a limited time only.

This is a portal site to support young craftsmen and artists involved in the production of "Kyo mono" (Kyoto crafts designated by Kyoto City and Kyoto Prefecture).
