Applications will be accepted from individuals, corporations, and organizations, and their products, technologies, and services that meet the following two criteria

The applicant must be able to contribute to improving Kyoto's image and solving problems in Japan and around the world in the future.
The applicant's base of operations must be located in Kyoto Prefecture, and the applicant must plan to continue to operate in Kyoto Prefecture in the future.

Once applications are submitted, a written review will be conducted by mid-July, followed by a hearing review in August for those who pass the written review.

The Grand Prize and Excellence Award will be presented at an awards ceremony to be held in September or later, with an activity grant as a supplementary prize. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, May 31.
