[Ace Hotel Kyoto] is a landmark in Karasuma Oike, Kyoto. [Mr. Maurice's Italian & Rooftop Bar] on the 3rd floor is supervised by Mark Vetri, who is known as one of America's top Italian chefs. The Italian restaurant he owns in America is said to have set the standard for modern Italian cuisine.
This is Mr. Mark's first visit to Japan since the museum opened. The new spring menu will be available from Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Q1.What is your impression of Kyoto?
It's my favorite place. I usually live in a noisy place in America, so I like how time seems to move more slowly in Kyoto.
Q2. Please tell us if there is a place you particularly like in Kyoto.
Tsukemen shop and Nishiki market in Takakura Nijo. I enjoyed looking at the cooking utensils at the market, especially the ladles and knives.
