On March 7, 2023, the Nagamori Collection Gallery will open in Muko City, Kyoto, as an interactive facility where visitors can immerse themselves in the sounds and "karakuri" of rare automata (automata) and music boxes.
The museum has a collection of approximately 350 pieces, and visitors can enjoy the luxury of viewing works of world-class value in the lounge. In addition, they can take a tour of the "storage room" through glass, which is usually closed to the public, and view the maintenance, restoration, and research and development of the collection by music box engineers. Workshops on automata making and music box making are scheduled to be held in conjunction with special exhibitions in the future, and visitors can look forward to a facility that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
