Van Cleef & Arpels, the world-famous high jewelry house from Paris, is holding the exhibition "LIGHT OF FLOWERS: Flowers and Light" at Shimogamo Shrine (Sakyo-ku, Kyoto) until Monday, December 12, 2022.
The second exhibition, held last spring in Daikanyama, Tokyo, was inspired by the Maison's creations, with flower arrangement artist Atsunobu Katagiri sublimating a sense of new life and hope for the future through flowers and plants into a poetic world.
[A tunnel of colored fallen leaves in the Tadasunomori Forest, a World Heritage Site, and Van Cleef & Arpels' jewelry in Hosoden will be in full bloom. In the autumn of art, feel the real brilliance and "flowers in the changing seasons" in Kyoto.
A tunnel of fallen leaves suddenly appears on the approach to the temple. An interactive object that you can actually walk through.
Floral installations appear within a special venue set up in the precincts of the temple.
Inside Hosoden Gosho, which is usually closed to the public, 72 pieces of jewelry, which showcase both old and new technology, are arranged to enchant visitors with their brilliance.
