Since "4 Japanese Lunches in Kyoto [Kyoto Gourmet] that I would like to visit again and again" was well received, I am releasing a video covering lunches under 1,000 yen this time.

In a 100-plus year old Kyoto townhouse, this restaurant serves fresh ingredients grilled over charcoal. The elegant interior has a counter where you can see the grill, a tatami room with kotatsu (table placed over a sunken table), and table seating. The daily set menu, which changes every day of the week, is all very attractive. The teriyaki chicken thigh (1,000 yen including tax) is a dish that stimulates the appetite with its teriyaki sauce and aroma of sansho (Japanese pepper). Fresh salads and side dishes all change daily. Yakitori Kushikura Honten, located up north of Takakura Oike, offers a relaxing lunch in a calm space.

Located in a quiet residential area a short distance from the station, this restaurant is housed in a renovated Meiji-era Kyoto machiya. You can enjoy charcoal-grilled yakitori, seasonal vegetables, seasonal obanzai, and more. The restaurant is all tatami rooms, with U-shaped horigotatsu seats and long counter seats in the back. The lunch menu features a wide variety of Yakitoriya's specialty chicken dishes. The "Yakitoriya's fried chicken set meal" (900 yen including tax) is a generous portion of large fried chicken served with miso soup and salad. The charcoal-grilled yakitori Tsukitokage main branch, located on the east side of Tominokoji Nijo, is recommended for those days when you want to eat with gusto.

Located one street north of Tominokoji Oike, this restaurant serves high quality pork dishes. The interior of the restaurant is decorated to resemble a jungle, with table and counter seating. The "Baaku Pork Lunch" (1,000 yen and up including tax), which lavishly uses Baaku pork directly from the farm, changes daily as it is prepared in a way that suits the part of the pig used. The "Pork Fried Chicken Lunch" features tender yet chewy fried pork with a sweet and spicy sauce that goes perfectly with the pork. The Tonteki set meal is also recommended. JUNGLE CAVE, located on the west side of Oshikoji Tominokoji, offers a variety of meat dishes that are sure to satisfy your appetite.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy our special obanzai. The interior of the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with white as its base color, and the walls and pillars are lined with recommended menus.
