Matsumoto Shuzo of Fushimi is releasing a new brand, "NEW KYOTO.JP Shiroroku" on July 1, 2022 (Fri.), exclusively in Kyoto Prefecture.
Matsumoto Sake Brewery began brewing sake in 1791 in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto, and will celebrate 100 years since its relocation to Fushimi in 2022. The first product of the "NEW KYOTO.JP" project launched to mark this milestone is a refreshing sake named after a traditional Japanese color, inspired by the greenery of trees and the mountains visible from the Kamo River.
Made from high-quality water in Fushimi, sake is light in the mouth and characterized by pleasant acidity, bitterness, and a natural gaseous taste derived from fermentation. It is easy to pair with Japanese cuisine as well as a variety of other dishes.
