Limited release of collaboration sweets from Kyoto's popular confectionery [Assemblage Kakimoto] and Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku!

Two types of sweets, "Amanushi Kakimoso Bonbon Chocolat" and "Amanushi Kakimoso Dacquoise," are the result of a collaboration between a popular pastry store [ASSEMBLAGES KAKIMOTO] located in Gosho-minami and Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku located in Minami-ku, Kyoto. They will be available in limited quantities and for a limited time from September 14 (Wed.) to 20 (Tue.), 2022, at [JR Kyoto Isetan].

The sweets on sale are made from "Cordyceps sinensis," a much talked-about superfood being researched and developed by Dai-ichi Kogyo Seiyaku. [Akihiro Kakimoto, owner of ASSEMBLAGES KAKIMOTO and a patissier (confectioner), chocolatier (chocolate confectioner), and cuisinier (cook), says, "I am interested in cordyceps, a type of mushroom, which has a peculiar and delicious taste like a truffle. Mushrooms go well with chocolate," and he has completed two types of bonbon chocolates and dacquoise with coffee and nuts.

Cordyceps sinensis is a type of mushroom that grows by harvesting nutrients from insects. It contains amino acids and other nutrients and has been prized in China for thousands of years for its longevity and tonic properties. The mushrooms used in this product are said to be high-quality "cordyceps sinensis," which is derived from the protein-rich pupa of the silkworm, making it a health food of note.

[The product is not sold at ASSEMBLAGES KAKIMOTO stores, but is only available at JR Kyoto Isetan for a limited time, so be sure to get in early if you're interested!
