Delimo has several stores in Tokyo, and this is the second store in the Kansai region, following Kobe. Mr. Eguchi, the Japanese chef chocolatier, told us, "I created this store with the intention of opening a completely new store in Kyoto, rather than recognizing it as a 'Kyoto store.

Once inside, the left side of the room is filled with chocolates, financiers, and other gifts that make great souvenirs.

A café space was spread out on the right side as one entered the restaurant.

Since this was a preview, we were treated to a special dish that included products exclusive to [Patisserie & Cafe Delimo Kyoto].

Petit Gateau GuionPetit gâteau inspired by a maiko's kimono. A dish of chocolate mousse in a kumquat sweet and sour jus. On top is an amazake macaroon. Only available at the Kyoto store.
Puzzle ChocolatChocolates that look like a puzzle, with a cute shape that divides into individual pieces! Only available at the Kyoto store.
miko chocolateYuzu jelly is filled with matcha and pistachio flavored ganache for a refreshing aroma. *Only available at the Kyoto store.
Black Matcha Tablets(Mini tablets black matcha green tea are not for sale): Original chocolates newly developed for the opening of the Kyoto store. The sweetness and bitterness are perfectly matched and have a very deep taste. *Only available at the Kyoto store.
Dark green tea madeleineChocolate madeleines with chocolate dough dipped in matcha chocolate. Not too sweet and perfectly balanced.

Also available only at the Kyoto store is a special parfait, called "Melange Fruie KYOTO Matsuri" for 2,484 yen.

Champagne jelly is topped with fresh strawberries, cookies, green tea and chocolate ice cream, and golden blonde chocolate. The best part is the optional rich chocolate sauce. You can enjoy it by pouring it over the top as you like.

The parfait is ideal: the rich chocolate and ice cream go perfectly with the tartness of the strawberries, and the cookies are lightly refreshed by the jelly. The various textures kept me from getting bored, and before I knew it, I had finished my meal.
